Great Wolf Lodge

Recently, our home school program WAVA announced a state wide gathering at the Great Wolf Lodge.  With a deal of $119 for 4 people and 1 night stay, I didn't think twice.  It was time for our family to try it out.  Because of the snow storm during Thanksgiving, Troy's last week of class instruction was too brutal to allow him to go.  My brother took his place.

That left us one ticket to fill..  So I bravely asked to take the Bishop's daughter since she is also home schooled.  I say bravely, because I know their sleep over policy which we recently adopted as well.  We agreed this was an "outing" and not a slumber party.
Off went the 4 of us!

I asked CP mom for permission to post these.

WAVA had a gingerbread house contest.  It was quite amazing.
Next year we want to do an all white Temple.

This was the winner.  It was based on a real mill.

 I love my brother!
CP was a bit over excited about the fake snow.
 Nick enjoyed shooting hoops.

We all had contests to see who could run across the lily pads without grabbing the ropes.
Nick was really good.
 Alyssa did ok.
Miss feather herself, barely affected the lilies.

The Christmas decorations were really pretty.

 Brother and Sister
As the mom, I am so busy planning and worrying about everyone else that I didn't pack anything but my swimsuit and the clothes I was wearing.  So, I was stuck wearing this whenever I wasn't in the water.  Not to mention that I forgot to shave my legs and armpits.  SHEESH.

Silly girls howling like the wolves.

It was sure nice to go on a weekday.  I am proud to say we didn't spend a dime there.  We packed our own food and didn't fall prey to any of the temptations.  In and out in less than 24 hours and only the $119 for four people.
